Hervé is one of our first customers, and we made him a very special titanium bike during the 23' 24' winter !
He wanted to replace his road bike and continue doing mountain triathlons (Huez, Embrun in particular), and he needed a road bike. But he also wanted to go on bikepacking, touring, road and trail biking.
All on one bike! It upset us a bit. Hervé put a lot of energy into the project and that really motivated us. And we ended up creating his “ideal” bike from the Titanium Gravel ON/OFF.
The geometry is based on the postural study carried out by Morphologics in the Bron laboratory, to which we have infused the behavior of a road bike by working on the choice of tubes, the integration of brake hoses as well as the various angles and lengths. Together with Hervé, we decided to orient the bike's behavior towards sporty road use, while at the same time enabling it to withstand long distances and loading on trails.
The fork and frame wheel clearence limited to 40 mm tires, the initial tire mount is 30 mm, and the drivetrain is a SRAM Force Wide AXS 2x12, which remains a road group, but with a chain line that allows the use of wide tires. A real opportunity !
Hervé picked up his Obvious bike at the Saint Chamond workshop 10 days before the Corima Drôme Provençale 2024 cyclosportive. Here's his first comment, sent the same evening :
“Great feeling on the bike. Super comfortable. It's a treat to be able to do big relaunches, because even when I'm tired, the bike reacts well and erases my faults.
During the climbs, I can keep up a good pace without needing to rise out of the saddle.
I even set my personal record over 100 km !
All in all, it's all good fun ! "
A bit of a “new bike” effect ?
Since then, Hervé has taken part in the Alpe d'Huez long-distance triathlon (2.2kms swim, 118kms/D+3200m bike, 20kms/D+340m run).

Au moment où nous écrivons ces lignes, Hervé vient de terminer la Grande Traversée des Alpes, la GTA. De Thonon à Nice. Nous attendons avec impatience son récit ! En attendant, voici quelques photos qu'il nous envoie.
